Uninterruptable Power Supply

Q: We're are planning to use the CAR-A-WAN as application platform with an embedded rugged harddrive. What will happen in any case of power lost?

A: On the SIEMENS Simatic Microbox U420/427b platform the system is not able to buffer the hole system. For this platform we offer an unmanaged external UPS. On the MPL platform there is an internal UPS availiable. The MPL UPS is also supported  by the main BIOS. If the battery inside is going below f.e. 20% capacity the CAR-A-WAN will be shut down and restart if the battery has again 20% and the external power suppy is on again.
